Call for Papers: Smarter Law for Smart Surveillance

Final conference of the SMART project entitled Smarter Law for Smart Surveillance released its call for papers. The conference takes place in Committee of the Regions in Brussels on 4th and 5th March 2014. The call for papers is available for download at conference webpage or directly here.

The conference seeks papers from across disciplines on smart surveillance but particularly on the following themes: Governance issues of big data; Smart surveillance in law enforcement; Right to be forgotten and right to erasure; Surveillance and cybersecurity; Living under surveillance (psychology, sociology); Economics of surveillance; Cross-border issues in smart surveillance; Democracy and surveillance.

Papers are to be submitted through the EasyChair no later than 15th January 2014. Notice of acceptance shall be provided no later than 31st January 2014.
