Russian Federation, Council of Europe and Personal Data
On 15th May the Russian Federation ratified the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to automatic processing of personal data. The treaty will enter into force for the Russian Federation on 1 September 2013. Out of the member states of the Council of Europe the convention is not ratified yet by Turkey (since its signature of the treaty on 28th January 1981) and nor signed nor ratified by San Marino.
